Super Eagles and Lazio midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi has dedicated
his goal in Sunday’s 4-2 loss to Napoli to the victims of the explosions
in the country’s capital Abuja on Monday.
The midfielder also sent a condolence message to those affected in the early morning explosions that rocked commuters in Abuja.
The blasts occurred at a bus station in Nyanya, on the outskirts of
the federal capital, killing more than 70 people and injuring dozens.
Onazi, a social media savvy player, dedicated his first ever Serie A goal for Lazio to the victims of the terror attack.
“I dedicate my goal to the victims of the explosion, that happened this morning,” Onazi wrote on his Twitter account.
“I hope by the grace of God the families have the strength needed to manage everything,” the Lazio midfielder concluded.
Many of the victims of the explosion were headed to work early in Abuja when the incident occured.
